The intercreative global village
Abstract
This text establishes a relationship between cultural development and the possibilities of human self-preservation and the preservation of the environment in the context of contemporary society. It tries to understand this relationship based on an analysis of the communication and information technologies developed by humankind since the invention of writing until the new digital media. This analysis is especially attentive to the message of these media as well as their effects and forms. It also highlights the significant aspects of this culture, without forgetting to mention some of its negative aspects. However, its main purpose is to identify the emergence of the new communication technologies as one of the most important instruments of global integration and human exchange. Focusing on the message of cultural intercreativity of digital communication, it also underlines the emergence of new molecular means of production, recording, reproduction and distribution of cultural goods. Consequently it characterizes these new technologies as one of the most powerful means of human cultural development.
