Simulação computacional da difusão molecular de poluentes líquidos de aterros em solos organo argilos – Aterro Metropolitano de Gramacho, RJ
Abstract
The work presents the development of a MPHMTP computational model that has the capability of simulating environmental impacts due to the leachate infiltration into the soil. The numerical solution is based on the finite volume method. The model was used in order to simulate the laboratory scale representing the molecular diffusion of the ions chloride, sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium and ammonium present in larger concentration in the leachate into the organic clay soil of the Gramacho MSW landfill, localized in the Duque de Caxias city, RJ. The simulations were compared with those obtained using the POLLUTE program and experimental results. In the contact soil-leachate region, the MPHMTP program gave better agreement with the experimental data.
