Abstract

This paper presents a case of environmental performance assessment in an anthropic operation by categorical judgement. The case assesses a logistic operator. The model for the assessment was constructed in focus group sessions with experts and was based on categorical indicators. The assessment was conducted by managers of the operator. They answered a closed questions questionnaire, using Likert scale, based on the model. The final result takes the format of an index waving from 0 to 100%. The assessed constructs were: atmospheric emissions, solid wastings, liquids effluents, usage of natural and energetic resources and attendance of law and certifications. The assessed index was about to 90%.

Key words: environmental performance, Environmental indicators, environmental impact assessment.
