Abstract

The feminine issue is not a specific topic in Arendt thought. The paradox found by some thinkers because she recognizes herself as a Jew, but not as a woman, removes the essence of Arendt's political thought from the philosophical movement of feminism, accusing Arendt of giving in to male hegemony. This perspective loses a lot by not acknowledging how hers critique of modernity offers a solid basis for thinking about woman today. Above all, hinder the most dignified way out: the one that grant the human. The survey, based on bibliographical review of books such as Between Past (ARENDT, 2016) and Future and Feminism theory and Hannah Arendt’s concept of public space (BEHABIB, 1993a), proposes to demonstrate how the Arendtian subject, as an origin, capable of action and subject to unpredictability, exists and acts in the interim of the past-future and is the theoretical support of the main frameworks of this last phase of feminism. The central point is to recapture the discussion about theories that remove the ability to act from beings, reducing them to the homogeneous, and to criticize contemporary theories about women. From the research, it was possible to raise several questions that, illuminated by Arendt's theory, consider feminine horizons for a new politics.
