the present work aims to present and discuss the relationship between Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy and Ernst Mach's sensualist theory. We argue that such relationship occurs to the extent that both resort to the field of physiology to expose that the intuitive patterns by which thought and knowledge are produced come from the human nervous organization. For this, we resort to Mach's text Knowledge and Error and to Nietzsche's mature writings.
