The Work Clinic has been strengthened by the diversity of forms and approaches. In Brazil, its development followed mainly the dissemination of the theoretical and methodological approach to Psychodynamics of Work. The work clinic in the work environment aims for emancipation and building of emotional ties beyond the desire to rescue workers’ ability to think about the suffering in the workplace and sharing it with the collective of workers. However, the work context guided by neoTaylorists management models teaches that one shall not verbalize what they feel or experience. There are kinds of anguish that are difficult to denominate in the work environment due to the impossibility of their verbalization. This article aims to discuss the power of speech in the Work Clinic as a political instrument and to reflect on the role and position of the work clinicians. The word has the power to inscribe what escapes control in the symbolic and thus allows the elaboration-perlaboration of events; hence, we believe that the word generates affection and debanalizes injustice as well as allows the elaboration of what causes suffering. It is also noteworthy that this process is enabled by the position of the clinician, who must be prepared to receive what will be deposited onto him by the subject.
