Focus and Scope
Journal's mission
The BASE’s mission is to publish high-quality scientific research that contributes to the development of management and accounting sciences.
BASE (ISSN: 1984-8196) is a scientific journal of Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) that is issued every three months.
BASE publishes original scholarly articles of high quality, relevance, and scientific rigor in the fields of business and accounting sciences. It provides an international forum for the publication of manuscripts that employ rigorous empirical analysis and impact our understanding in the following fields of management science: accounting, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, strategic management, operations management, human resources management, among others.
Contributions are welcome from a wide range of methodologies and topics.
Purely theoretical articles, literature reviews, and bibliometric studies are not encouraged.
The papers can be submitted in Portuguese or English and must follow the author guidelines.
After acceptance for publication, the papers preferentially must be translated into English by the authors.
Peer Review Process
The publication of the article is subjected to the previous approval of the journal's Editorial Board, as well as to peer review made by, at least, two ad hoc reviewers using the double-blind review process.
The final acceptance of the article depends on:
- The recommendation of the reviewers;
- That the authors carry out the necessary corrections;
- And final approval by the Editorial Board, which decision will recommend one of the following options:
- Accept submission;
- Revisions required;
- Resubmit for review;
- Resubmit elsewhere;
- Decline submission;
- See comments.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public supports greater global democratization of knowledge.
