During the last decade, Fab-Labs have emerged as an alternative to traditional design workshops. They incorporate new digital technologies in design that optimize their processes and implement new collaborative work methods associated with co-design. However, in the Latin American context, it has not been verified how they have been implemented and what are the real contributions and challenges that these spaces have in innovation processes. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to examine, from the literature, how innovation processes are understood within Fab Labs. The PRISMA method was applied for the systematic review to propose a matrix that categorizes and allows understanding the approaches and components associated with innovation processes within Fab Labs.
