Defining criteria selection for environmental dimension tools of sustainable design
Abstract
The designer has an active role as one of the developers of products and services and can thus promote changes towards sustainable design. Therefore, to make the process of product development more suited to the concepts of sustainability, enabling the reduction of impacts, several methods and specific tools to sustainable design arise. However, due to the large number of existing tools, it is necessary to develop means to make the selection by the designer more practical. Thus, this article presents a proposition of selection criteria for environmental dimension tools of sustainable design.
Keywords: product development process, environmental sustainability tools, designer point of view.
