Abolitionist arguments in Colombia
Abstract
This article is an analysis of the discourse about confluence and dissension in abolition debates in Colombia, during the first half of the 19th century. Special attention is given to the categories and the inflections from which they are constituted. The article aims at revealing the assumptions, explicitly or obliquely, of the narratives regarding black people and their forced enslavement.
