Resumo

In a long gestation process, neoliberalism embedded in Latin America in the late 1950s, with nuances that we are still experiencing. In this way, it is possible to perceive different lineages established according to local realities, which gives it specific shades. It was in this subcontinent where the first experiments took place that implemented it as public policies of great scope, much earlier than in Europe or other continents, with non-linear paths, going through successive stages of crises and adaptations, including the current one. Thus, the dossier proposes to compile articles that discuss neoliberalism, both in the form of an economic theory and in something that went further, intertwining with social structures, as part of a certain mode of accumulation. Thus, we seek dialogue in a transdisciplinary approach to the phenomenon, privileging views that can also illustrate us about the particular characteristics that he adapted regionally, many of which were also relevant to influence his general path, which recognizes variants that cannot be reduced to the idea of ??a single thought, as was often tried.
