Communication systems in Amazon

This article aims at mapping the different mediatic systems present in northern Brazil. It also seeks to comprehend its operational strategies in the social reproduction. We look for a descriptive and comparative approach to these systems, concluding that with a succinct interpretation, based in the political economy of communications. The article draws a map of the various sub-systems in Amazon: the big media groups; the mid sized media groups; religious networks; public networks; government and educational media organizations; popular communication and small companies with local political and economic expression.
