Corporate Governance Codes in Latin America: comparative analysis between Brazil and Mexico
Abstract
This study analyzes the Corporate Governance Codes and its importance as a support tool for development and application of the Corporate Governance best practices. By means of one comparative analysis between the recommendations of Corporate Governance Codes of Brazil and Mexico we have verified the degree of similarity between both of them. Furthermore, we have verified if the Corporate Governance Codes of these two countries are created according to the main international standards. In addition, this study makes reference to some differentiating aspects of the capital markets of Brazil and Mexico which could slow down the process of Corporate Governance implantation if compared to others international capital markets.
