Study of Parque das Garças (Herons Park), Brasília. Local aspects of the park and its insertion in the city. Characterization of the capitals enacted here and their related habitus, based on a critical review of these two key concepts by Pierre Bourdieu. Survey of the attributes of the subjects and the activities they carry out here, captured through direct observation and questionnaires directly asking the people about their income, self-declared colour, place of residence, means of transport to get to the park, length of time spent here, the first idea that the park evokes etc. Reasoning on the apparent paradox of the park being frequented by middle-low-income classes in an elite borough. The future of the park, existent proposals, implications regarding the social diversity of those who frequent it.
