The following paper is focused on discussing elements for Conversation Analysis (CA) in Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). After defining conversations as synchronous or asyncronous, we discuss their analytic elements such as turn dynamics, conversational pairs, and conversational marks through a theoretical framework and empirical examples. Finally, we discuss the differences and common points between synchronous and asynchronous conversations and how they can be studied.Downloads
